ODST

This isn’t a review of halo ODST, but I just wanted to fill everyone in on the firefight mode. It has truly brought the fun back into halo for me. I was a long time Halo player until halo 3, and then I dropped off to pick up Call of duty 4. On the release of Call of duty 4 Modern warfare 2 I thought I would give halo another chance on the off chance that it improvement.
ODST firefight mode is very enjoyable. The premise is you hold a location from the enemy against wave after wave of enemy it gets progressively harder but it’s not a push over. If you really want to enjoy yourself get some friends together for this mode of play. It really is fun. Without a story line to bog you down, or trying to find your way to the next objective, your left with a pure fps (first person shooter) experience that is full of replay value.
I’m more partial to playing this firefight with friends as some of the larger harder units to kill we’re rather difficult to bring down alone with wave after wave of enemy doing everything they can to kill you. Firefight mode is much easier to do with more people so increase your difficulty level accordingly.
After each wave of attacks the level resets and adds all the default weapons back on the map. And with each completed level you get a new skull. The skulls in this mode add a new modification to your enemy some increase their dodge, others reduce your ammunition. Have fun getting them all.
I was defiantly skeptical about the game, reviews said it was a tough game and I’m not finished with it yet so I won’t side one way or another. It is a worthwhile game and if you can’t pick up the new call of duty for special someone this game is worth looking into.
